Amid Worries About the Dangers of War Interfaith Charm Bracelet
Offers Ten Prayers for Peace
FORT WORTH, Texas, Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Amid worries about the dangers
of war, Theresa Allen, owner of a jewelry design company, is choosing to focus
on the power of prayer and faith as the ultimate path to achieving peace.
Allen is introducing The Peace Bracelet(TM), "a symbol of understanding
among the religions of the world." The bracelet features ten sterling silver
charms to promote peace through the prayers of the Christian, Jewish, Hindu,
Muslim and Buddhist faiths. It is available at http://www.peacebracelet.com .
"Each charm is associated with a prayer of peace from the teachings of its
respective religion", says Allen. "The prayers are included with the bracelet
along with an explanation of the charms and their meanings."
"The symbolism of the Peace Bracelet(TM) is important because no matter
what the path of your religion, the destiny is the same," says Zarina Jiwa, a
Muslim who provided the prayer of peace for her faith.
Allen and her partner, Cay de Vlaming, are stay-at-home moms who run their
jewelry design business from home. Their jewelry has been featured
nationally and at the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth.
de Vlaming said they were inspired by the gemstone Azurite Malachite also
used in the design. "The mixture of minerals in dark blue and green makes
each bead resemble a miniature globe," de Vlaming said.
"It has been an incredible journey of faith," says de Vlaming. "We have
been embraced by the members of these religions as we gathered information for
the bracelet."
"We all want peace and acceptance and we acknowledge our accountability to
a higher power. That's what the Peace Bracelet(TM) embodies," Allen says.
